Surface Preparation: Do not use on non-rusted surfaces . Remove all dirt, grease, oil, salt and chemical contaminants by washing the surface with a commercial detergent, or other suitable cleaning method. Rinse with fresh water and allow to thoroughly dry. Scrape and wire brush or power tool clean to remove loose rust, scale, and deteriorated coatings.
Application: Stir contents before using. Pour a small amount of Rust Reformer into a separate non-metallic container. Brush the material evenly across the surface to be coated. The Rust Reformer will dry to a black film in about 15 minutes. Do not return any unused Rust Reformer to the original container. Doing so will contaminate the remaining material and reduce or eliminate its effectiveness.Recoat: Dry and recoat times are based on 70°F and 50% relative humidity. Allow more time at cooler temperatures. Dries tack free in 2-4 hours, to handle in 5-9 hours and fully dry in 24 hours. Primers can be topcoated immediately. Apply a second coat within 1 hour or after 48 hours.
Clean-Up: Spills should be cleaned up immediately with water. Clean brushes and tools with soap and water.
