5 Benjamin Moore Color of the Year Trends to Inspire You in 2025

Benjamin Moore just released their 2025 color of the year: Cinnamon Slate. This velvety plum leads the way in a line of color trends that bring understated depth, warmth, and familiarity to the home. If interior designs that exude comfort and ease make the secret (or not so secret!) homebody inside you jump for joy, you’re going to love these five paint color trends!

1. Warm off-whites and warm grays remain at the top

If you’re a neutrals die-hard, don’t worry—whites and grays are timeless shades that will never go out of style! But what we do see trending in these color families are more subtle undertones: less blue in the grays, less yellow in the whites.

In this year’s palette, Sea Salt CSP-95 and Ashwood Moss 1484 show off the elegant gray and green undertones that are really popular with neutrals today.

2. Greens are the new neutral

Green is a classic that has always been known for its versatility. But in recent years, green has come into its own as a leading neutral for homeowners and designers.

From bathrooms to kitchens (give us green cabinets all day!) to studies, green is gracing walls as an effortless complement to browns, grays, and even bright modern decor. If you’re looking for a low-key color addition, try a green—it’s one of the easiest colors to blend with an existing palette.

3. All-over color

This is the year to embrace monochromatic rooms. A seamless flood of color from ceiling to floor trim has the magical ability to make a room simultaneously feel bigger (because the walls flow up the ceiling) and cozier, thanks to its cocoon-like effect (delighting all the homebodies).

4. Browns are making a comeback

Fall fashion runway collections aren’t the only place browns are showing up this year. Classic dark chocolates and leathery mid-tone browns have emerged as major color trends for 2024 and 2025. Chowning's Tan CW-195 and Leather Saddle Brown 2100-20 both made Benjamin Moore’s Color of the Year Palette this year, making a perfect pairing with popular natural textiles.

5. Dollops of pink

While pink design trends have leaned primarily toward mauve the past few years, we do see quietly colorful hues making their way onto the scene. We may not be ready for the resurgence of the 50’s pink-tiled bathroom, but we happily stand behind a dollop of bright, warm pink to balance moody palettes.
