"I am so glad I made the trip to Ring’s end to look at the composite decking. They had so many samples and even decks set up with the composite decking. It made me feel good about my decision rather than picking it from online. The professionals working there really know their product inside and out."

Solutions for Decking Pros
Ring’s End is here to help you succeed! Whether online or in our lumberyards, we are ready to assist with expert advice and personalized service for all types of decking projects.
TimberTech decking lasts significantly longer than wood and is virtually maintenance free. A composite or PVC deck from TimberTech has a lifespan of 25-50+ years (depending on the product line), compared to the 10 to 20-year lifespan of a real wood deck — which also requires ongoing maintenance such as sanding, staining, and sealing. TimberTech decking materials are also more affordable than most high-quality wood, the exception being pressure-treated lumber. Find more details in our guide to Composite Decking vs. Wood Decking.
Does TimberTech decking get hot in the sun?
TimberTech’s decking products are engineered to reduce heat absorption for comfortable use year-round. High-quality PVC decking is actually the coolest deck material available, staying 30° cooler on hot days than competitive products.
Just remember that all decking materials get hot in the sun, making the color choice an important consideration. TimberTech’s lightest shades of Advanced PVC Decking include Coastline, Slate Gray, Whitewash Cedar, Weathered Teak, and Brownstone.
How long does TimberTech decking last?
A TimberTech Advanced PVC Deck by Azek will last up to 50+ years with virtually no maintenance. A fully capped composite deck from TimberTech will last around 25-30+ years. TimberTech decks are also backed by industry-best warranties for added peace of mind.
Does TimberTech decking scratch easily?
TimberTech’s PVC and capped composite decks are engineered to resist scratching, stains, fading, and other types of wear and tear. These premium decking products last for decades — and maintain their beauty — even under high foot traffic from people and pets.
Is TimberTech decking realistic?
The PVC and composite deck boards from TimberTech are among the most realistic engineered decking products on the market — available in a wide range of natural colors, grain patterns, and surface textures. TimberTech’s hyperrealistic Advanced PVC Decking offers the most natural look possible, even when compared with composite materials. PVC deck boards can also be ordered in multi-width designs and installed with custom curves for a look that is truly unique.
What colors does TimberTech decking come in?
TimberTech decking is designed to replace real wood, so their palettes feature three nature-inspired color families: grays, browns, and tans. Some of the color options are designed to highlight the look of a natural, exposed wood grain, while others replicate the look of painted or stained wood. Explore TimberTech’s collections by color in our TimberTech Decking Color Guide.
