Apply your choice of flooring product (according to instructions) in sections of about 3 feet by 4 feet starting in a corner and working toward the open end of the floor. Sprinkle the decorative flakes onto the wet paint to get the look you desire. (Do not wait more than 10 minutes before applying the flakes to the first section). Gently toss the flakes up and let them drift down into the wet paint. Then, paint another 3 foot by 4 foot section adjoining the first and sprinkle flakes on that section as desired. Continue to paint the entire floor in sections, sprinkling the flakes as you go.
