Our A&BTR Western Red Cedar is sold for the smooth side, and may have uneven texture on the back side. The largest and most abundant of all cedars in managed forests, Western Red Cedar wood is naturally resistant to decay and insect attacks, and it doesn’t “bleed” like other woods, which makes it perfect for stains, sealers, and paints. The Western Red Cedar is generally straight grained and has a uniform but rather coarse texture. It has very low shrinkage. This wood species is lightweight, moderately soft, low in strength when used as a beam or posts, and low in shock resistance. A & Better Grade Limiting provisions include: small seasoning checks, irregular very light skips on edges and backs. Allows for two small, sound tight knots or their equivalent. - 1 x 6 - A & Better Tongue & Groove Red Cedar Wood Siding, Tight Joint (No Vee)
